Brazil: microclimate

This project aims to quantify the probability of the presence of thermoregulation of the microclimate, caused by vegetation in the city of Guaratinguetá. Using data from Landasat 8 and its OLI and TIRS sensors, for the years 2016 and 2020. First the treatment and projection of the data was performed. The data were transformed into categorical, through a binarization generated by thresholding (OTSU) applied in bands 10 and 11 (thermal). Spectral indices were calculated over the ROI. A correlation assessment was performed to evaluate the problem on the independent variables. Finally, a logistic regression was applied and the results were analyzed. The final result presents the probability of surface temperature attenuation occurring.
