The figure depicts the absolute population change in Combined Statistical Area of Knoxville, Morristown, and Sevierville between Census 2000 and Census 2010. Sevier County witnessed a population increase of over 3,000 in four blocks located in the northwestern region. Similarly, an increase of more than 3,000 population can be observed in two blocks of Blount County and two blocks of Knox County. On the other hand, counties such as Campbell, Anderson, and Hamblen experienced a decline in population. Jefferson County demonstrated a moderate population increase, with over 600 and 1,200 additional residents in the majority of its southern blocks. In Knox County, there was a decrease in population in its central part.
