Digitization of geological data from the database of the Geological and Mining Research Center ,DRC

The geological and mining research center of the DRC created since 1984, it is the very first institution of the republic to have inherited 3/4 of the geological archives of the geological service of the colonial era, more than 50 years of work of 'explorations carried out in this period by the colonial geological service. the storage of this data constitutes a real challenge for the center. In which states are data (geological map, ortho photo, tographic map ...)? these data are victims of poor storage conditions, exposed in dust, and kept in drawers where no one can access them. this project consists in digitizing these geological data (scanned map) in order to integrate them into the spatial database, through this project we have also set up a geoportal which will be able to ensure the dissemination of these data
